Life in the Fast Lane

These are 5 things you can do that will radiate positivity into a life in the fast lane.

Wow, looking back on the past couple of months SO much has happened! This year has been stressful, yet rewarding and wonderful in so many ways. I figure it’s only natural to write about what I’ve been doing and how its affecting me and how you can do it too - living life in the fast lane!


As we all know, life as a busy bee can have a tendency to not be fun. Here is how you can build your busy schedule to become more pleasant!


1. Fit in the Little Things that Bring Happiness in Your Life

In can be so easy to pass up or not notice the little things in life that bring you joy. Take some time to wake up a little earlier to brew yourself a coffee or stop at a local coffee store. Take a few extra minutes to read an article on how to better improve your life ;-). Stop at the grocery store and pick up that ice cream you have been craving.


Live a "treat yo self" lifestyle that will release some tension that builds up from a stressful and long day.


2. Embrace the Long day as More Time to Learn About Yourself

At the end of a long day, I always lay in bed and think to myself "wow, today I learned..." and say a little something to fill in the blank. It's hard to remember that long days are not pointless, but it makes it easier when you're able to learn from it!


Whether you learned something from yourself, a friend, work, or school it can definitely make the long day worth it.


3. Stop Doing Trivial Things that Aren't Your Priority

I've said it before in my previous post, but I live by it and you have got to start living your life by it too. Incorporate only things you highly prioritize.


Toxic friendships? Find new ones. Random obligations you don't care for? Stop doing them. Of course, it's easier said than done, but if done in the right way you will thank yourself.


4. Take Some Time at the End of Your day to Pamper Yourself

Now this one is a little more self explanatory - TREAT YOUR SELF!! Being busy is stressful, so whether it's carving an hour for a bubble bath or time at the gym you will be so much happier you spent that hour pampering yourself instead of stressing about a To Do List.

Bath and Body Works Candles - French Lavender - I'm a candle lover & will light one whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed!


Wine - It doesn't matter the brand, but it sure does help with relaxation after a long day!


5. Keep Good Company

Certain people will make easy tasks seem so hard, so make sure to surround yourself with people who will uplift you!

Make an effort to keep good, positive, and encouraging company. These are the people who will remind you that you are capable to achieve what you're working for & often the friends you'll keep around for a lifetime.



Well, there you have it! Five simple things that will help you radiate positivity into a busy bee lifestyle. Just because you have a lot going on doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy yourself while you're at it!
